Adachi to Shimamura | Review (kinda)
Started to watch Adachi to Shimamura last week and finished it in almost 2 days. Since it’s a bit fresh on my mind i decided to write something about it.
This contains spoilers and it will be a bit ranty!
The Story
Adachi to Shimamura is a yuri (girls love) anime adaptated from a light novel with the same name. It’s about two high school girls, trying to get to know each other(?). I mean I’m not even sure how to describe this because i was still confused even after finishing watching it.
In the first episode, Adachi and Shimamura meet each other for the first time while ditching class. In a normal romance series, they would get to know each other better and become friends slowly but in this anime, Adachi decides to sit between Shimamura’s legs with an uguu face in the next episode. I haven’t read the novel but I’m pretty sure there must be some kind of development before this kind of skinship, right? But somehow this anime just ignores all that development and goes into sleeping on laps, thighs and cutesy faces.
